Crocheting for Men!

I'm always looking for projects that my husband and son will like to wear. My son loves the socks I make. He also wears fingerless gloves. He also wore the hoodie I made. He doesn't like the hats I've made so far. He says they have too many holes. My husband is harder to crochet for. He also wears my socks. Not so much the fingerless gloves. And the hats I've made have been either too hot or too cold. :-) But this year, he's really liking one of the hats I made last year that he said was too hot! This year's COLD weather has made it just right. And he's also loving this tunisian sweater that I made. He says that this sweater is very warm. Once again, the right garment for the right weather. Crochet cable block club - Half way through

The summer months are done and we're going into fall. One of my Cable club blankets is done. The class is going well. My second blanket is started. The class learned about blocking. Class members are deciding on border technique and color. Stop by the classroom when you are next in Admit Ewe Knit to see my finished blanket. And my new blocks on the wall. If you decided to work this project on you own stop by the shop, the last Sunday of the month and show us your progress at 7pm. We're just stitching by then. If the stitches in these later blocks got too tricky and you need help or have questions sign up for the class ($15 per session) that starts at 6pm. Happy stitching and Happy fall.

AND it is 2020!

Well!! I can't believe that it is already February 2020. It does make sense because time flies and stands still for no one. That includes me. A lot went on personally for me in the last 18 months or so. Some good. Some not so good. And through it all there was a bit of crochet . Most of "the bit" were my yarn friends, network and colleagues that supported me. Even when I showed up and just sat holding a bag of hooks and yarn in my hand. Not doing much crocheting, or none at all. Gotta love my yarn-buds! 18 months ago I started out actually doing socks! LOL! I was determined to fix some and complete a couple from a pattern. I finished a blanket pattern, I'd been interested in for a while. I still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE cables. I'm so glad they became a "thing" a few years ago for crochet. And I just winged-it for an idea that had been playing around in my head for awhile. And now...
